Modern online catalog at Coltène with crossbase

Following the success of its media service, Coltène has also relaunched its online catalog with crossbase. In order to provide customers with high-quality product information that meets the requirements of the medical technology industry, the company has opted for a modern solution for efficient product communication.

 

We had clear goals for our new online catalog: A modern look, intuitive operation and a comprehensive user experience. As planned, we were able to celebrate the successful relaunch six months after the first workshop with crossbase - a great precision landing!

Initial situation

Coltène offers a comprehensive product range in the fields of endodontics, restorative filling therapy, prosthetics, treatment aids, infection control and rotary instruments. The challenge was to develop a user-friendly, multilingual online catalog that meets the high regulatory requirements (MDR) and can be used globally.

Procedure

The project was realized on the basis of a modern design by the agency MASSIVE ART and technically implemented with the crossbase CMS (Content Management System). The Tailwind CSS and Angular frameworks ensure a responsive layout that enables optimal display on various end devices.

The online catalog is characterized by intuitive navigation, which is controlled via tiles and filters and has a powerful full-text search. This provides precise suggestions for articles, product families and product groups so that users can search for and select specific products and retrieve information. This includes product descriptions, images, videos, technical data and accessories. Thanks to the powerful crossbase database, search results are provided quickly and efficiently.

Images are automatically converted into the required formats in the integrated crossbase MAM and made available directly. This significantly reduces the manual processing effort and the user receives the appropriate image dimensions for each channel. All other available documents are linked directly from the media portal and can be downloaded there in all available languages.

The product information is updated daily and provided in high quality directly from the PIM system. Particular attention is paid to the allocation of documentation by region and language, supplemented by enrichment with metadata and exact versioning. The documentation provided includes clinical studies, user reports, scientific studies, brochures and instructions for use (IFU).

Result

The new online catalog combines modern design with innovative technology and offers users worldwide a user-friendly platform. Targeted product searches and comprehensive product information facilitate access to the Coltène product portfolio.
